In 2014 I decided to leave my career making TV programmes for the BBC, and train to be a yoga teacher and move to Berlin. Life has never been the same since! I love my life and my work. I'm immensely grateful to share these practices with you, and for all the amazing places I get to visit, and the truly remarkable people I meet along the way.


When I first moved to Berlin I founded a yoga community for Gay Bi Trans Queer Men. Over the years, hundreds of men came to practice with us, I've hosted many men's retreats around Europe, and this work remains a great passion of mine. There is powerful and necessary healing that occurs when men come together to support each other in growth and transformation.


This men's community in Berlin evolved in to a community for everyone. And for the past few years many many women have practiced with us. I'm incredibly proud of this community and everything we went through together. The joy, the laughter, the friendships, the sweat and the tears, and for everyone who walked in to class.

After 6 years of weekly classes it was time to bring this chapter to a close. I am currently focusing on retreats around Europe, teaching online via Zoom, and creating an extensive library of yoga classes, meditations, and yoga nidras, on my Vimeo On Demand Channel.

After 16 years of practice and 7 years of teaching I still feel like a beginner sometimes. We never stop learning, never stop growing, it's a lifelong journey! These practices bring a passion and curiosity to life. They awaken our spirit, and open our heart, it's an honour to walk this path, and to share these practices with you!

Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. The practice is founded on four pillars -- Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit.

BREATH


Forrest Yoga teaches you how to breathe deeply, connect in feeling with your body, use the power of breath to bring aliveness into every cell of your body and ignite your passion for living.

STRENGTH


Forrest Yoga teaches you to connect to your core, to be strong and centered. The intense pose sequences are designed to help you develop the skills to awaken each of your senses. The long holds help you progress in the poses and go deeper. Aided by the use of heat, your body is freed from toxins; the deep breathing  oxygenates and rejuvenates every cell in your body.

INTEGRITY


Forrest Yoga teaches you to become proficient at safely tailoring each pose to work best for you, particularly with physical and emotional injuries. By learning to work honestly at your edges, you develop effective tools to deal with fear and struggle. This makes it possible for integrity, self-awareness and playful curiosity to become part of your daily life.

SPIRIT


Forrest Yoga's intent is to create a sense of freedom, a connection to your Spirit and the courage to walk as your Spirit dictates.
